I first met You
About a year and a half ago

We were never close
But the memory of You
Is still etched in my mind

I was extraordinary nice to You
Coz you were years my senior
Coz you commanded my respect
Despite your lackadaisical attitude
Which I discovered the reason behind it
Months later

I heard you on the phone
On that Saturday morning

You sounded well
The next thing I knew
I saw the message that you had passed on
Tears streamed down my cheeks
